OLI Network License Server in the Cloud
The OLI Network License Server is fully supported on virtual machines running Microsoft Windows Server, including those hosted by cloud providers like AWS or Azure. The installation process is identical to that of a physical machine. However, please be aware that major changes to the cloud infrastructure—such as migrating the virtual machine to a different cluster—can trigger a “HASP Error (64): Cloned HASP SL secure storage detected.” If you encounter this error, please reach out to OLI Support for assistance.
A Note About Apple Silicon and ARM:
OLI does not provide ARM-native versions of our software. While you can run OLI on Windows 11 for ARM on Apple M1, M1 Pro, or M1 Max computers or newer via a virtual machine, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the results, as the software was not designed explicitly for this architecture.
