How to download and install OLI software for the first time as a network user.
Note: In order to use the software, your computer must be connected to the same network as your organization's OLI Network License Server. If you have any questions about this, please reach out to your IT Administrator.
You will receive two serial numbers from your IT Administrator or OLI:
- Server Serial Number (Example: V2-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX)
- Client Serial Number (Example: V2-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY-YYYY)
You can download the latest version of our software from our downloads page using the Server Serial Number.
Here you can download the installer for the latest version of the application(s) tied to your license. In this example, we'll be downloading OLI Studio, but this applies to all our desktop applications.
Install the Software
Once the installer is downloaded, right-click and select “Run as administrator”.
In the End-User License Agreement screen, select the “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” radio button, and then click Next >.
Enter your name, organization, and client serial number in the next screen shown below:
Next, you will be prompted to enter the IP Address or the Hostname of the machine running the OLI Network License Server at your organization. This information will be provided to you by your IT administrator. Enter this information and then click Next >
Under Choose Setup Type, select Typical and click Next >
Then click Install.
After the installation is complete, click Finish.
Make sure to restart your computer after installation.
Now, open an OLI application. If you see the splash screen, your installation/activation was successful.
If you encounter any issues or have further questions, please submit a ticket to the OLI Support Center.
