Overview
After adding a new user, they will have no contract roles (OLI software permissions) assigned to them by default. As the Client Admin, you can choose which roles are assigned to each user. You can assign roles to a user by following the instructions in this article.
1. Select User Roles from the left-hand sidebar
After logging in to AppManager with your OLI credentials, click on “User Roles” from the left-hand sidebar.
2. Select the contract you wish to modify
If you have multiple active contracts with OLI, you may see multiple options in the Contract List. Select the one you want to modify.
3. Identify the target user
Click the pencil icon next to the name of the individual to add permissions.
4. Select from the list of available contract roles
Select the pencil icon next to the target user to edit their roles.
When you click into the field, a list of contract roles will appear, along with the number of seats available. Click to select the role(s) you want to apply.
5. Assign the contract role(s)
Once you have finished selecting roles, simply click the checkmark to apply them.
You can now effectively manage and assign roles to new users to OLI software.
Conclusion
Assigning roles ensures that each user has the appropriate access needed to work efficiently within OLI software. By managing contract roles, Client Admins maintain full control over permissions and license usage across their organization.
