How to Use the Plot Template Manager in OLI Studio

Objective

This guide explains how to set up and save a plot template so it can be easily reused in future surveys. Once saved, the plot template is accessible in future files.

Steps to Create a Plot Template

1. Conduct a survey. 
2. Set up the plot
   • Navigate to the Plot tab.
   • Select the Variables… button.
   • Remove the default Y1 variables.
   • Select the property of interest (for example, pH) for the Y1 Axis.
   • Click OK to apply the changes.
3. Save your plot as a template
   • In the Plot Template Manager section, enter a name for your new plot template.
   • Click Save to store the template.

How to Use Your Saved Template

1. When running a new survey, navigate to the Plot tab.
2. Look for the saved template listed below [Default Plot].
3. Click on the template, and the plot will automatically update with your saved settings. 

Using these steps, you can quickly set up and reuse your customized plot templates in OLI Studio, saving time and ensuring consistency in your work.
