Objective
When using OLI Flowsheet: ESP for complex models, users may want to run and converge part of the model, then add additional unit operation blocks without having to rerun all upstream unit operations each time a downstream change is made. Here's how you can manage this scenario.
Enable Simulation Restart Optimizations
To prevent unnecessary recalculations, follow these steps:
- Go to Tools > Options.
- Check the box for Enable simulation restart optimizations.
With this setting active, only the changes made to the model will be recalculated during the simulation, allowing for faster convergence and minimizing unnecessary recalculations of unaffected units.
