Version 12 Beta Test Notes 12.0.0.4 (3-Apr-2024)

Welcome to the version 12 Beta Test page. While this page is open to all users, the content is intended for just our Version 12 beta testers.

I wanted to clarify some confusion about the beta software.  I seemed to have implied that you could beta test both the OLI Studio (all programs) and the OLI Flowsheet programs.  

This, unfortunately, is not true. You can only beta-test the software for which your organization is licensed. 

If you want to beta test another program contact your account manager here at OLI.

  • We have updated the version 12.0 database. The updated systems can be found in the attachments at the bottom of this article.

Version 12.0.0.4 of OLI Studio (all products) and OLI Flowsheet are ready for external beta testing. We know of some issues.

OLI Studio 12.0.0.4

  • Scaling solids induction time optimization (also known as regression) does not work with ScaleChem brines or Stream Analyzer Water Analysis. 
  • Corrosion Analyzer - the contact surface for MSE Corrosion only works with two alloys, 2205 and 2207. If you are in the AQ Corrosion framework and switch to MSE, no warnings will appear about unsupported alloys.
  • The installed manuals are for version 11.5. These will be updated with the final release

OLI Flowsheet 12.0.0.4

  • The calculator block is a new feature. However, it does not work with virtual streams in this version
  • The calculator block in a sensitivity study does not access the partial pressure of vapor species parameters.
  • The calculator block call-out will not clear its results if the block is disabled. The previously calculated values will remain.
  • The calculator block does not gray-out when disabled.
  • The installed manuals are for version 11.5. These will be updated with the final release.
