Honeywell Unisim Design With the release of Unisim Design R370, Honeywell controlleds the release and update cycle. With the release of Unisim Design R410 OLI regained control of the the release and update cycle.

For a solid compound selected with “Scaling Tendency” option ( CA2CL20.2H2O, for example),  your AUTOGEN routine will return with a true species list excluding this solid compound.  However, your HYPINIT routine will still return this solid compound in its member NAMSL.

I think that the HYPINIT routine is doing the right thing.  Although the solid compound is selcted for Scalling Temdency, it still should be included in the return True Species list from the call of AUTOGEN.

Currently, since it is not in the AUTOGEN return true species list. It disappears in the UniSim Design flowsheet.  Therefore, user can not see the scalling tendency values

Add MoS2 (which is in the CRMSE databank).  The species that gets retrieved is NA6SI2O7 which is also in the same databank.  The component MoS2 remains in the selection list.

Tested in R450 w/engine 9.5.3 component selection works correctly.

Now that I installed USD version 9.1.5, is used it for another project with the AQ framework, too.
To my surprise, I found that the pseudocomponent that I had set up for the hydrocarbons moved into the aqueous phase. It did not in my previous USD-OLI version, 9.0.14. For comparison, I also ran the same stream with a real component (C14H30) of the same MW.

The USD-OLI behaviour is also different from the standalone version of StreamAnalyzer (AnalyzerStudio) 9.1.5, in which it partitions correctly.

Tested in R450 w/9.53 and OLI Studio 9.5.3 results match.

Updated PC-interactions for the database fixed this issue.

    • Hypothetical species are not supported. A crash will occur in the model generator in MSE. Hypothetical species are supported in the AQ model. The species created by the OIL manager seem to work.
    • A change in the security module will require current users of the OLI Engine for Unisim Design to obtain a serial number from OLI. This should occur automatically by OLI if not contact distribution at OLI.

This is an issue in the side of OLI. The Solver didn't adiabatic flash calculation of H2O at some points correctly when second liquid phase is turn on.

Isothermal flash has different phase and enthalpy
behavior than P-H flash.

This had been fixed in the solver with using the current data. excess enthalpy calculation is necessary during the iteration since the excess enthalpy of pseudo is substantial compared to std enthalpy

Flashed stream in sub-flowsheet does not have same enthalpy as stream in master flowsheet.

In EQPROP.for a slight different temperature than it should be was used to calculate the standard enthalpy, which results in the discrepancy of entropy.

This has been fixed in eqprop.for

1-P7PVR3 2181(9638) A divide by zero error when starting the software with the fluid package OLI_Electrolytes is now properly trapped.
1-PYQZXN 2274(9835) A crash occurred when an all solid stream was encountered.

The solver tried to distribute all inflow to solids. However, it cannot find the corresponding solids in the true species. This has been fixed and consistent results have been obtained.

OLI Corrosion Analyzer Plug-in now enabled.

There is one known issue: When saving the Corrosion Analyzer results, you are required to save both the Unisim Design document and the open Corrosion Analyzer document. Saving the OLI Corrosion Analyzer document only saved the memory space inside the Unisim Design document.

After launching the OLI Corrosion Analyzer Plug-in and then Exiting Unisim Design, the Unisim design program stays in memory and is an active process.

This version is linked to the ESP v7.0.38 database. The mixed solvent electrolyte model is also enabled.
